We are delighted to announce that Maxwell Restaurant has been awarded an 18 Chef Hat award - this is the highest category award: Superlative Food & Wine, internationally acclaimed, worth a special journey. 

This award places us among Australia's most highly regarded dining destinations, an honour that means more to us than words can express.

This recognition reflects years of dedication, creativity and an unwavering pursuit of excellence by our remarkable team. We are deeply thankful to our guests, our producers and our wider community for the trust and support you have shown us along the way.

The national awards, set up in 1982 to recognise exceptional chefs, are presented for the standard of a restaurant’s food alone, with a focus on ingredients, taste, presentation, and the techniques used. The results are compiled from anonymous dining by AGFG inspectors, and the reviews sent to them from the public.

Our award-winning restaurant is open for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday with sittings from 12 noon and dinner service from 6:30 pm on Saturday evening. We exclusively offer a  multi-course tasting menu priced at $225 per person.
