The new 2010 edition of Australia’s most anticipated annual wine guide, James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion, has again cemented the position of Maxwell Wines of McLaren Vale among the top wine producers in Australia. The winery has maintained its five star rating, indicating that its portfolio continues to feature wines of exemplary character and very high quality. Wines singled out by James Halliday for particular praise included the current 2006 vintages of the Ellen Street Shiraz, Lime Cave Cabernet, and the Minotaur Reserve Shiraz.
